Our Environmental and Quality engagement

Our Environment-Quality-Engagement chart :

VINCI Airports' sustainable development policy is part of a global performance approach.
Our airport obtained the renewal of the ACA (Airport Carbon Accreditation) Level 2 in December 2020.
This level 2 entitled "Reduction" of the Airport Carbon Accreditation program involves the measurement of the carbon footprint as well as an external audit of the data. This step reflects VINCI Airports' commitment to ensure that all airports in its network win and retain Airport Carbon Accreditation.
VINCI Airports has implemented a global environmental strategy called AirPact, which sets out strong commitments for 2020.
Airport Carbon Accreditation is the only institutional carbon management certification program for airports. It recognizes and accredits the carbon management and reduction initiatives implemented by airports. There are six levels of certification.
The 4 common objectives defined in 2015
Obtain and maintain ACA (Airport Carbon Accreditation) accreditations for all airports;
Reduce VINCI Airports' energy intensity by 20% by 2020 (compared to 2013);
Carry out a diagnosis of biodiversity issues for all airports;
Obtain ISO 14 001 certification for all airports
Environmentally friendly airports
VINCI Airports' sustainable development policy is part of an overall performance approach. In terms of the environment, this quest for performance is based on several axes:
Preserving air quality
Controlling energy consumption
Protecting water resources
Streamline waste production
Protecting the natural environment
Reduce noise pollution.
Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne Airport is committed to biodiversity.

Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne Airport is committed to biodiversity. Every day the Airport watches over 15 protected species on its site. You may be able to see a frightened owl, a screaming oedema, a swift or a kestrel!

Involving in the environment, the Airport has recently set up a new selective sorting zone. From now on, the sorting is done in 5 parts: Wood, cardboard, metal, plastic and glass. Thus, the site is engaged in responsible collection and recycling of waste.

Always in the interest of protection, environment and consumption control, the Airport has replaced its conventional taps with infrared taps to reduce water consumption.

In order to reduce its electricity consumption and emit less CO2, the lighting has undergone some changes. Conventional light bulbs are replaced by LED bulbs and all obsolete equipment is replaced by responsible technologies.
